Name It, and tmux Stops Renaming It

Run npm run dev, and the status line reads 0:npm. Say you rename it to server, and name the other windows too.

Until then, that field was keeping itself up to date. tmux names a window after whatever is running in it, taking the command from the active pane. Run tail and it says tail; let it finish and it goes back to bash. Name a window by hand and the renaming stops for that window. The manual says so: giving a name with rename-window disables automatic renaming there.

That is why server never turns back into npm. It stays server.

Say nothing and the machine names it. Say something and your name stays.
