These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the online learning service "WebTerm Learn" ("Service") provided by init, Inc. ("Company"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Article 1 (Application)
These Terms shall apply to all relationships between users and the Company regarding the use of the Service.
The Company may establish individual rules and guidelines for the Service in addition to these Terms. Such rules and guidelines shall constitute part of these Terms regardless of their titles.
Article 2 (User Registration)
Registration for the Service is completed when an applicant agrees to these Terms, applies for registration through the method prescribed by the Company, and the Company approves such application.
The Company may refuse to approve a registration application if it determines that the applicant falls under any of the following categories, without any obligation to disclose the reasons:
- False information was provided during the registration application
- The application is from a person who has previously violated these Terms
- The Company otherwise determines that registration is inappropriate
Article 3 (Account Management)
Users shall manage their account information for the Service at their own responsibility.
Users may not transfer, lend, or share their account information with any third party under any circumstances.
Article 4 (Fees)
The Service is currently provided free of charge in its entirety.
If the Company introduces paid services in the future, it will separately establish the applicable fees, payment methods, and other terms of use, and notify users in advance.
Article 5 (Prohibited Activities)
Users shall not engage in the following activities when using the Service:
- Activities that violate laws, regulations, or public order and morals
- Activities related to criminal acts
- Activities that destroy or interfere with the functionality of the Company's servers, networks, or those of other users or third parties
- Activities that may interfere with the operation of the Service
- Collecting or accumulating personal information about other users
- Attempting to gain or gaining unauthorized access
- Impersonating other users
- Providing benefits directly or indirectly to antisocial forces in connection with the Service
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Service, or attempting to analyze, extract, or repurpose its source code
- Other activities that the Company deems inappropriate
Article 6 (Suspension of Service)
The Company may suspend or interrupt all or part of the Service without prior notice to users if it determines that any of the following circumstances exist:
- Maintenance or update of the computer systems for the Service
- Difficulty in providing the Service due to force majeure such as earthquakes, lightning, fire, power outages, or natural disasters
- Stoppage of computers or communication lines due to an accident
- Other circumstances where the Company determines it is difficult to provide the Service
Article 7 (Withdrawal)
Users may withdraw from the Service by following the withdrawal procedures prescribed by the Company.
Article 8 (Intellectual Property)
All intellectual property rights related to the Service and any content provided through it (including software, source code, learning materials, exercises, slides, designs, text, and images) belong to the Company or their rightful owners.
Users may not reproduce, republish, modify, redistribute, sell, publish, or otherwise use such content beyond the scope of personal use without the prior written permission of the Company.
Article 9 (Disclaimer)
The Company makes no warranty, express or implied, that the Service is free from defects (including defects related to safety, reliability, accuracy, completeness, effectiveness, fitness for a particular purpose, security, errors or bugs, infringement of rights, etc.).
The Company shall not be liable for any damages incurred by users arising from the Service, except in cases of the Company's intentional or gross negligence.
Article 10 (Changes to Service)
The Company may change, add, or discontinue the content of the Service with prior notice to users, and users shall accept such changes.
Article 11 (Changes to Terms)
The Company may change these Terms without obtaining individual consent from users in the following cases:
- When the change to these Terms is in the general interest of users
- When the change to these Terms does not contradict the purpose of the Service agreement and is reasonable in light of the necessity of the change, the appropriateness of the changed content, and other circumstances related to the change
Article 12 (Handling of Personal Information)
The Company shall appropriately handle personal information obtained through use of the Service in accordance with the Company's Privacy Policy.
Article 13 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
In the event of any dispute regarding the Service, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company's head office shall have exclusive agreed jurisdiction.
