The Evolution of Game Saves

In the early days of gaming, some games had no save at all: you wrote down a long password by hand. One wrong character, and hours of adventure were gone. From passwords to cloud saves, gamers have always been fighting the fear of losing progress.
Programming is the same. "I want to go back to when it was working." A Git commit is a save point for your code. Just like saving after making progress in a game, you commit once your code reaches a state that works, and you can always return to it.
In this course, you'll learn how to create those save points.
