git push --force: The Forbidden Command

git push has a dangerous option called --force. As the name suggests, it forcibly pushes your changes, overwriting the remote's history with your local history.
Why is this scary? Because any changes others have pushed to the remote vanish from the remote. When someone runs git push --force on a team project, everyone else's work gets rolled back. Among engineers, tales of "blowing up production with a force push" are classic horror stories.
Someday you'll run into this command. Remember this before you press Enter.
